Since 1950, the Koshare Youth Hostel has been hosting scout troops, school groups, and youth organizations from all parts of the world. The hostel is an extremely popular stop for Boy Scout Troops traveling to and from Philmont Scout Ranch and Colorado scout camps in the summer months. In addition, many regional Boy Scouts use the Koshare Hostel as a home base for weekend activities in the area.
